Studies have shown that preemie babies are more likely to thrive when they are dressed in attractive clothes. No one really knows the reason for this, but it is theorized that seeing and feeling cute, cuddly clothes on the baby improve the mood of caregivers. This improvement in mood may translate into more and better care. We evaluate all of the clothes we sell and mark preemie clothes that are made from 100% cotton, are easy to put on and take off, and can accommodate many of the tubes and monitoring wires with our "NICU Friendly" seal.

Not all preemie clothes are made equal. The place of manufacture, how the garment is made, and the type and quality of the fabric all factor into a garment's cost. Clothes made outside the USA are often cheaper than those made domestically. Cotton blends are usually cheaper than 100% cotton, Pima Cotton costs more than other cottons, and organic clothes can cost even more. Our hope is that you will find preemie clothes on our site that is in line with your priorities and budget.

As long as you do not wash the clothes or remove the tags, you can return clothes items -- for any reason -- for a full refund, a replacement item of your choice, or a store credit. Directions for returning your unwanted items are listed on our policies page.

Orders placed on business days before noon Eastern Time are packed and shipped next day (assuming there are no unresolved payment issues). All other orders are usually shipped first thing on the next business day.

An array shipping methods are available to meet nearly every need...

We offer several methods including 2 UPS overnight options, a 2nd day UPS option, UPS ground, Express Mail, Priority Mail, First Class Mail, and International First Class. We also have a Super Saver option that is free for all domestic orders. Super Saver orders are processed the same as other orders but are shipping using the least expensive method.

Preemie Clothes Mart can ship to hospitals but this can be problematic because once the package is received by the hospital, we no longer can track it. Some hospitals are very good about delivery to patients; Some are not. So to ensure a prompt delivery, we suggest you ship to someone outside the hospital who can deliver the package directly.
